Jaden Smith - After Earth
It’s hard to believe that Jaden Smith and father Will Smith starred together in 2013’s After Earth. In fact, it was the second film the father-son duo starred together, the first being in The Pursuit of Happyness. Reviews of the film were brutal with the generic understanding that “After Earth is a dull, ploddingly paced exercise in sentimental sci-fi — and the latest setback for director M. Night Shyamalan’s once-promising career” noted by Rotten Tomatoes. Peter Bradshaw, a reviewer from The Guardian, gave the film one star. He said “Kitai [Jaden Smith’s character] must be like his dad: show no fear. Or any emotion. Or any acting talent of any sort.” Ouch.
