January Jones - X-Men: First Class

As the fifth film in the X-Men Universe, X-Men: First Class was produced as a franchise reboot. The 2011 film focused heavily on the fracturing relationship between Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehsnerr/ Magneto (Michael Fassbender) during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In the widely-received film, actress January Jones played Emma Frost, a member of the antagonistic Hellfire Club. Of all people, Damon Lindelof – the creator of TV series, Lost – tweeted the following: “Emma Frost’s THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting.” Where this came from, we don’t know, but Jones’ acting, or lack thereof, certainly hit a nerve.
