Smoke Grenades

Yes, seriously, someone tried to bring inert smoke grenades onto a plane. According to an airport spokesperson at the time, “They were … old, rusty and inert,” Richmond International Airport spokesman Troy Bell said. “No charges (were) filed at RIC” in the 11:51 a.m. incident, which took about 30 minutes to resolve. A TSA official further added, “It’s not illegal to be in possession of it, but you just can’t bring it on a plane.”
A Pet Cat

Look, there’s nothing wrong with traveling with a pet. In fact, thousands of people a year travel with cats, dogs, and other animals on planes. However, there’s a right way to do it – purchasing a pet ticket, having a carrier, etc. – and a wrong way. On the other hand, trying to hide a cat in carry-on luggage? Definitely the wrong way.
