An Inert IED
So to get this out of the way quickly: this IED (improvised explosive device) is a fake. A traveler supposedly on their way to an explosives detection training exercise attempted to get it through security, allegedly as some kind of test. This led to the closure of six security lanes and in turn delays for travelers.
A Live Lobster
This TSA agent found a 20 lb. live lobster hidden inside a suitcase that was going through security. According to the agent who discovered the crustacean, it was the largest lobster he’d ever seen.
