Broome Beach

Back down under, Australia’s Broome Beach is another haven for jellyfish. During the November to May “wet season” thousands of box jellyfish and Irukandji overtake the area’s waters. In the past decade, there have been well over 150 jellyfish stings in the area.
Chowpatty Beach

Chowpatty Beach is not only one of India’s most polluted beaches, it’s one of the most polluted areas in the world. How bad is it? Well:
In 2013, fecal bacteria was recorded in the water at levels of 1455 per 100 mL, which is very high above the tolerable standard of 500 per 100mL. So not only is garbage an issue, but so are open defecation and sewage problems,
Despite those… hygienic issues, the beach somehow remains a major tourist draw.
